Properties / effects

The fipronil is an insecticide and an acaricide belonging to the family of phénylpyrazoles. He acts by inhibiting the complex GABA of the nerve cells of arthropods, by being bound in the channel chlorinate and so by blocking the pre-passage and the comment-synaptique of the ions chlorides through the cellular membrane. Pharmacokinetics

Posology / mode of use

The pistol vaporizes 0,5 ml (flask of 100 ml) by evaporation.

Recommended dosage

To moisten the coat up to the skin, apply 3 - 6 ml by physical kg weighty (that is 7,5 has 15 mg of fipronil by physical kg weighty), according to the length of hairs.

This posology can be obtained by making 6 in 12 evaporations by physical kg weighty with the flask of 100 ml.

According to the length of hairs, the presentation of 100 ml allows to treat 4 - 8 times a 4 kg cat or up to 3 times a 10 kg dog.

Mode of administration

Vaporize the product on the whole coat of the animal at a distance of approximately 10-20 cms. Limitations of use

A. Contraindications:

B. Precautions:

EFFIPRO spray can be used during the gestation and the lactation. Do not exceed the prescribed dose. Avoid any contact with the eyes of the animal. Particular remarks

The zones where the animal is used to lying down(going to bed) such as hidden, sofas and inside of car must be treated with an appropriate insecticide which will help to treat the environment and will maximize the duration of protection against a ré-infestation. The product is not suited for a direct treatment of the environment.

Particular remarks for the user

This product can cause an irritation of mucous membranes and eyes. That is why any contact of the product with the mouth or the eyes must be avoided.

Animals or users presenting a sentimentality known about insecticides or alcoholic have to avoid any contact with the product. Avoid getting the contents with fingers. If it occurs, to wash himself hands with some soap and some water.

In case of accidental eye exhibition, rinse carefully eyes in the clear water.

As long as the coat is not dry, the treated animals must not be treated and the children must not be authorized to play with the treated animals. It is thus recommended not to treat animals during the day but rather at the beginning of the evening, and not to leave the animals which have just been treated to sleep with their masters, especially with the children.

Vaporize the product on animals outdoors or in a well aerated room. Do not inhale the product. Do not smoke, drink or eat during the application.

Carry tight gloves (in PVC or it nitrile to treat animals). It is recommended to carry a waterproof apron to protect clothes. In case of important spraying of clothes with the product, these last ones must be removed and washed to be able to be carried before again.

Throw gloves after custom and wash himself hands with some soap and some water.

In case of irritation, consult at once a doctor. The persons presenting a known sensibility or suffering from asthma can be particularly sensitive to the product. Do not use the product if you have already presented the reactions to the product.

Precautions for the environment

The fipronil must not be thrown in streams or areas of water because he can have a toxic effect on the aquatic bodies. Do not let dogs bathe in streams during 2 days which follow the application.

Preservation and stability
